Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Stephen emigrated to Buffalo, New York
and had his first taste of theater as a young boy in Life With Father. He
later found work as a rock singer in various local bands. Combining rock
and theater was a natural progression and Stephen has found ample
opportunity in such roles as Judas and later Jesus in Jesus Christ
Superstar, in the rock opera Tommy, and in an original rock opera by Neal
Radice and Ken Kaufman based on the old English epic Beowulf. Stephen also
recorded vocal tracks for many jingles before moving to Philadelphia. Since
then he has performed with the Philadelphia Revels, as Sparkeion in our
Society's production of Thespis last season, and as Strephon in the Savoy
Company's 100th anniversary production of Iolanthe. He is also a tenor in
the Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale.
