Rebecca Hains (Lisa)

Rebecca Hains is pleased to appear in her second GSSCC production.
Originally from the Boston area, her G&S credits there include Rose Maybud
(Ruddigore), Josephine (H.M.S. Pinafore), and Casilda (The Gondoliers). She
has performed at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Buxton,
England, appearing in Savoynet productions as Mabel (The Pirates of
Penzance) and Phyllis (Iolanthe) and in the G&S Players' Utopia, Limited as
Princess Zara. Locally, Rebecca has played Zara in the Ardensingers' 2005
production of Utopia, Limited; the title role in Thespis, Etc.'s 2005
production of Patience; and Kate in our 2004 production of The Yeomen of the
Guard. Her favorite musical theater roles include Maria in The Sound of
Music, the Witch in Into the Woods, and Cunegonde in Candide. Off-stage,
Rebecca has co-directed Sullivan & Rowe's The Zoo, served as casting
director for Iolanthe, and adapted and directed Alice in Wonderland. Rebecca
is a former member of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, the official chorus of
the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She is also a former Program Chair of the New
England Gilbert & Sullivan Society, and she co-founded the Emmanuel College
Theater Guild in Boston. Rebecca is a Ph.D. student in Mass Media &
Communication at Temple University, where she teaches undergraduate courses.
