Helene is happy to be making her debut with both the GSSCC and in "Utopia, Limited." Helene has a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University (so has performed on the Phillips stage before) and belongs to the Philadelphia alumnae chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, an international women's music fraternity (an alumni of the WCU chapter, Epsilon Epsilon). With Ardensingers, she music directed their 2007 production of "Princess Ida" and their Fall 2005 and 2006 productions. She is currently music directing their Fall production, the "Best of G&S" and "Trial by Jury." Afterwards she will be music directing their 2008 production of "Patience". Helene has performed in and assistant music directed several shows for the Rose Valley Chorus and Orchestra and has been involved with their Music in Schools traveling production of "The Pirates of Penzance". Helene also plays clarinet with her husband, Tony Wastler, in the Virginia Grand Military Band (Arlington, VA) and the Upper Darby Sousa Band, and for him with the Marple Newtown Community Band. A special Uhlalica! to everyone at GSSCC for making this a wonderful experience, especially, Florrie, Bruce, and Martha.
