George
has been involved with G&S since 1997, having been
in all 14 of their operettas. He
owes it
all to his wife, Izzi, who got him to share her lifelong interest. Although having performed
with The
Ardensingers, Thespis, Etc., and RVC&O, he has spent most of
his time with
the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Chester County, being its
President for two
years. He is
usually in the chorus,
where he enjoys the anonymity, but he has been the Major in Patience and the
Usher in Trial
By Jury, a show he has produced for the past eleven years
with
GSSCC. This year,
he is also producing The
Pirates of Penzance.
Two
years ago, he was in the cast of Iolanthe which went
to the International G&S Festival in Buxton,
England. When not
performing in G&S
operettas, he is a member of the choir and a leader of song at his
church, and
a retired computer nerd.
