Catherine Brown (Bridesmaid)

Catherine BrownCatherine K. Brown is a singer, voice teacher, and communications consultant in West Chester, PA. Her opera roles include Hanna in Oscar Straus’s A Waltz Dream with Concert Operetta Theater and the Third Boy in Mozart’s The Magic Flute with the Academy of Vocal Arts. She has sung in the ensembles of Bizet’s Carmen (Rowan University Opera) and Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience (Savoy Company).

Catherine holds a B.A. in music and German from St. Olaf College, where she was a recipient of the Harriet J. Marty Vocal Scholarship. Following graduation, she taught music and English in Germany on a Fulbright grant. She writes about singing on her blog, www.findingmysingingvoice.com.

 

This is Catherine’s fourth stint as a bridesmaid (though her previous aisle-walking took place in churches, rather than in court). Despite the saying “three times a bridesmaid, never a bride,” she walked the aisle with her fiancé in August 2009.
