Catherine Alana (Princess Zara)

Soprano Catherine Alana has performed several operatic roles including the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Magic Flute at the Lawrenceville School, the Countess Ceprano in Verdi’s Rigoletto with Boheme Opera, Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosí fan Tutte and the Governess in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw with the University of New Hampshire Opera Theater. She has performed numerous recitals and was the soprano soloist in the Riverside Symphonia's performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Catherine Alana is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and Westminster Choir College. Most recently she performed the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with the New York Opera Forum.

Ms. Alana received a Master’s degree in Voice Performance and Pedagogy at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey, where she graduated with distinction.

As well as performing and teaching she also lectures on opera for New York City Opera.
